About Jack Kovaleski

I’ve been playing video games for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is from when I was very little. My brother was playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and handed me an unplugged controller while he played. I was absolutely mesmerized by the music and the world unfolding on the screen. From that moment on, I became completely infatuated with video games and the unique way their music can capture emotion and atmosphere.

In high school, I co-founded a band called Elevator Talk where I wrote and produced numerous tracks spanning many genres. Our most popular song has reached over 780,000 streams on Spotify alone. Making music with my band was a huge creative outlet and taught me a lot about collaboration, production, and songwriting.

As I grew older, I pursued my passion for music academically by earning a performance degree in classical and jazz saxophone. While I trained extensively as a saxophonist, I always enjoyed writing my own music on the side. After college, I dove deeper into composing and producing.

My first official freelance composing credit came in October 2024 when I worked with Psyclops LLC to create the intro and NFT reveal music for their animated show, Eyedentified, which was featured at LA Comic Con.

Since completing that project, I have been working on a video game inspired album. Although the album is still a work in progress, I’ve shared a few of the songs I’m developing in the portfolio section of this website. I hope these pieces offer a glimpse into my inspirations and personality as a musician.

Music has always been a fundamental part of my life, and I’m excited to continue growing as a composer and creating music that connects with listeners both in and outside of the gaming world.
